Executive Search - Resourcer / Researcher - Manchester Airport - Basic salary in the range £20,000 - £25,000 + bonus / commission - Excellent opportunity to work for the UK's pre-eminent executive search firm - "C-Level" NHS / Healthcare assignments.

My client's reputation at the top of the executive search profession is over 40 years old. They have seven offices and a team of 350 people in the UK and internationally. They help private and public sector organisations find the highest calibre people for permanent and interim management appointments in the UK and internationally.

An opportunity exists in Manchester to join as a Resourcer / Researcher working on interim appointments within the NHS. The role may suit an existing Recruitment Consultant looking to move to the pinnacle of the Search and selection sector, or someone from outside of recruitment who is polished and professional and seeking an opportunity to start a recruitment career within a top search firm. Applications are also encouraged from recent or 2015 graduates.

Role of a Resourcer / Researcher

  • Supporting the established fee earning Recruitment Consultants by:
  • identifying top individuals within the NHS / Healthcare sector for clients by understanding the clients' business needs.
  • Mapping the market, identifying and approaching people and assessing their interest and fit for roles.
  • Be the established port of call for clients and candidates throughout the recruitment process in the event the Consultant is unavailable.
  • Building the database of specialist NHS interims by targeting and developing rapport with senior interims that are placed regularly and have influence with clients and other interims.
  • Having a keen awareness of Diversity and actively encouraging creative strategies to guarantee a more diverse talent bank.
  • Developing in depth knowledge of your market, understanding the sector from top to bottom and so contributing to practice intelligence.
  • Assisting with marketing activity for the sector.

Your career progression

Having become confident and competent with all the elements of the in the Researcher / Resourcer role (candidate sourcing, head hunting, sector knowledge, recruitment processes etc…) you will have the opportunity to be promoted. If research is your passion, you will be given the opportunity to develop your research skills and progress along the Researcher career ladder. Alternatively you may decide to transition towards a fee-earning Recruitment Consultant role. You will be given training and support to progress in either direction.

The Benefits

  • Starting salary in the range £20,000 - £25,000 dependent on experience (you will receive subsequent salary increases at pay reviews and on promotion to fee-earning consultant.
  • Bonus / commission scheme providing on target earnings of £30,000-£40,000+ in the Resourcer / Researcher role.
  • Salary increase and on target earnings of £50,000+ once promoted to fee earning Recruitment Consultant (Many of the consultants who have been with the business for several years are earning £100,000+).
  • Other benefits (on qualification) include car allowance, private healthcare, cycle to work scheme, child care vouchers etc…

Person specification:

The successful candidate will be a presentable, articulate and bright team player with a 'can do' attitude. Essential requirements are for someone who:

  • Works well under pressure and can deliver high quality results.
  • Has outstanding communication skills to be credible with senior level NHS clients and interim managers.
  • Learns quickly, applies a methodical approach and has excellent attention to detail.
  • Has good time management skills and can work autonomously.
  • Is a team player, willingly sharing the workload - being proactive in taking on work in order to support practice activities.
  • Is IT literate, a good understanding of Word and Excel is useful.
  • Has a real passion for business related current affairs.

Previous experience in a client facing role (e.g. sales) or recruitment consultant / resourcer role is desirable. Applications will also be considered from recent graduates.
