The company is a specialist recruitment consultant business with divisions covering Finance, IT and Energy. As a result of continued growth an exciting opportunity now exists for a Learning and Development Consultant / Trainer to join the growing Training Team, initially focusing on the training of Trainee Recruitment Consultants. This role will either suit a current 360 degree Recruitment Consultant looking to "hang up the gloves" and go into a hands-off training role, or a current Recruitment Trainer with previous recruitment consultant experience.

The role:

  • As part of the training team you will be working with the Trainee Recruitment Consultants in the group, delivering induction training and follow-up training throughout the 0-12 month population.
  • You will deliver "off the floor" induction and recruitment training. You will be involved in "On-boarding" the new starters, gaining their trust and being a point of contact for any development needs that arise.
  • You will deliver training (systems, sales, recruitment) from and existing bank of training material and will also develop new material as required.
  • You will undertake "call coaching" and "one-on-ones" around what is happening on their desks to assist them in their first placements / business wins.
  • Deliver WebX / remote training to support international offices as required.
  • Deliver systems training, sales training and recruitment training.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop your training skills and progress to delivering experienced sales training, leadership development and management training as you develop.

To apply for this role:

  • You must have experience working as a Recruitment Consultant within a Recruitment Agency to lend credibility and allow you to draw upon stories of your own recruitment consultant experience when training.
  • Your previous Recruitment Consultant experience will ideally be in a professional services or technical sector such as IT, Finance, Energy / Oil & Gas.
  • You will have experience of (and thus be credible in training) proactively sourcing candidates with methods such as head-hunting, networking and advertising; and in business development e.g. prospecting for new business, generating / following candidates leads etc...
  • Previous Learning and Development / Training experience is not required.
