The company is a global "high end" recruitment business, dominant in providing engineering / technical recruitment to sectors including IT, Banking and Engineering. They enjoy fee revenues of >£500M globally and emply over 500 Recruitment Consultants across an international network of 20 offices in the UK, US, Canada, Far East, Middle East and Australia. An opportunity now exists to manage the specialist banking team in Birmingham.

The Package

  • Basic salary £35,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience
  • Generous bonus scheme / team override (double base salary for on target)

Role Description

  • You will inherit a team of successful Recruitment Consultants / Delivery Consultants (both permanent and contract teams) who place specialist contract and permanent banking roles (e.g. Risk, Analytics, SAS, IT) into a mix of key accounts and new clients.
  • You will lead, manage and develop the business unit and be accountable for the success of the business through effective people management.
  • You will develop te team, managing through team Leaders and working closely with Business Development.

About you

  • You will have experience of managing a team Recruitment Consultants.
  • You will have a background as a successful Recruitment Consultant within a Recruitment Agency placing within a senior or specialist / technical market e.g. banking, IT etc...
  • You will be "client-facing" with a track record in developing and sustaining client relationships through client meetings.
  • You will have experience of managing a team of recruitment consultants with the bility to motivate staff to achieve targets, objectives and company incentives.
  • You will be a good man manager with the ability to mange to individual's strengths and personal motivations.
  • Your skills set will include "onboarding" new starters, coaching and training of Recruitment Consultants (both novice and experienced), monitoring performance through KPI reporting, performance management trough "day plans" monthly business reviews, appraisals etc...
