Recruitment Consultant - £20,000 -  25,000 starting salary - Trainee roles for experienced salespeople - Birmingham City Centre - excellent uncapped commission.

As a result of expansion an opportunity now exists for several experienced sales people to join. You will be rapidly trained up to be a productive Recruitment Consultant.

The package:

  • Starting salary in the range £20,000 to £25,000
  • Uncapped commission, providing genuine OTE of £35,000 in your first year and £50,000 in your second year (many will exceed this)
  • 25 days annual leave, health care and pension on qualification.

Recruitment Consultant Role:

  • Creating your own network of IT candidates from a variety of sources including advertising, job boards, professional networking sites and the company's internal database.
  • Developing relationships with existing and new clients, understanding their needs and advising them on suitable candidate profiles and market trends.
  • Ensuring the right candidate is put forward for the right role, thus ensuring clients receive the quality service they expect.
  • Overseeing the entire recruitment cycle including finding candidates, assessing their skills, matching them to the job and the interview process.
  • Acting as a mediator in negotiating with your clients and candidates to secure the placement.

To apply you should

  • Have at least 2 years sales experience. Whilst Business to Business (B2B) experience is ideal Business to Consumer (B2C) experience will also be considered (Backgrounds of recent trainee recruitment consultants have included advertising / media sales, fund raising, estate agency / property sales / lettings negotiator, financial services sales, collections, events sales, technical sales, medical sales, pharmaceutical sales, IT sales etc…)
  • A track record of achieving your sales targets.
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Persuasive and able to sell in a consultative manor.
  • Have good rapport building skills and the ability to sustain long term client relationships.
  • Be organised and able to manage a complex and varied work-load.
