My client is a well established Birmingham based IT Recruitment agency who specialise in the recruitment of IT Permanent and Contract professionals throughout the UK and Internationally. They are preferred suppliers to many of the UK's leading companies within sectors that include banking, telecommunications, retail and automotive. As a result of expansion an opportunity now exists for 3 Trainee Recruitment Consultants to join the IT Recruitment Team.

The package:

  • Basic salary in the range £18,000-£22,000 (dependent on experience) which rises to £25,000 with promotion to Recruitment Consultant.
  • Fantastic commission (OTE £30,000+ in year one then £50,000+)

The Role:

  • Creating your own network of IT candidates from a variety of sources including advertising, job boards, professional networking sites and the company's internal database.
  • Developing relationships with existing and new clients, understanding their needs and advising them on suitable candidate profiles and market trends.
  • Ensuring the right candidate is put forward for the right role, thus ensuring clients receive the quality service they expect.
  • Overseeing the entire recruitment cycle including finding candidates, assessing their skills, matching them to the job and the interview process.
  • Acting as a mediator in negotiating with your clients and candidates to secure a sale - the placement of your candidate!
  • Achieving challenging sales targets, receiving incentives and bonuses and having fun!

To apply you should:

  • Have at least 12 months sales experience. Whilst Business to Business (B2B) experience is ideal Business to Consumer (B2C) experience will also be considered (Backgrounds of recent trainee recruitment consultants have included advertising / media sales, door-to-door, fund raising, estate agency / property sales / lettings negotiator, financial services sales, mobile phones, debt management, events sales, technical sales, medical sales, pharmaceutical sales, IT sales, Travel Representatives and call centre sales).
  • Be of graduate calibre (if non-graduate have good written and verbal communication skills).
  • Be motivated, driven to succeed, persuasive and able to sell in a consultative manor.
  • Have good rapport building skills and the ability to sustain long term client relationships.
  • Be organised and able to manage a complex and varied work-load.
