Business Developer - IT Recruitment - London. My client is a highly successful IT Recruitment business employing over 500 recruitment consultants across an international network of 20 offices (the majority of which are in the UK and Europe) They have global revenues of £200M+ and have UK accolades including Best places to work, Britain's top employers, Best Recruitment company to work for, and Investors in People.

An opportunity now exists for an experienced Recruitment Professional to join as Business Development Manager. The role is based in the West End and covers London and the South East. The role combines client contact / Account Management for a number of existing key IT Recruitment accounts, along with assiting the Recruitment Consultant in their new Business Development. Your current role may be an Account Manager, Business Development Manager or Client Relationship Manager but applications are also welcomed from senior Recruitment Consultants who enjoy the client facing business aspect of their role, and who wish to progress their career within a global plc.

The package:

  • Basic salary in the range £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience.
  • Generous quarterly bonus structure providing on target earnings of double base salary.

The role:

  • Account Managing several of the organisations key IT Recruitment accounts.
  • Working with the recruitment consultants to develop "spot business" into regular customers - attending client visits with them.
  • Formalising relationships with clients via Service Level Agreements, Preferred Supplier arrangement etc…
  • Tendering / bidding for business.
  • Acting as a bridge between the clients (externally) and the recruitment consultants and delivery consultants (internally)
  • Working as part of the London office management team.
  • Identifying opportunities to cross-sell / cross-pollinate across locations and business units.
  • Attending client meetings to take requirement and agree / monitor service levels.
  • Organising client events or undertaking client entertaining to enhance relationships.

Knowledge & Skills required

  • Previous experience as a Business Development Manager, Client Relationship Manager, Account Manager or Recruitment Consultant within a Recruitment Agency.
  • Excellent "client-facing skills" with experience in dealing effectively with a variety of clients including large commercial clients, consultancies and public sector organisations.
  • Able to demonstrate success in maintaining and growing revenue within recruitment accounts.
