Description

Business Development Manager - Public Sector Recruitment - Central London (2-3 days week + remote working). My client is a successful (£25M T/O) specialist Recruitment business providing a range of recruitment and related services to the Public Sector / Police / Criminal Justice / Central Government sectors.

An exciting new opportunity now exists for an experienced Recruitment Client Relationship / Business Development Manager. This is an autonomous role and combines management and development of existing customers with new business development. You will manage you own diary spending approximately half your week in the office and the rest working remotely and seeing clients.

Your current role may be an Account Manager, Business Development Manager or Client Relationship Manager. Applications are also welcomed from senior Recruitment professionals who enjoy the client facing business aspect of their role. You will have extensive experience of dealing with the public sector and will have been involved in outsourcing of services / RPO, supplying to frameworks etc...

Salary / remuneration:

  • Basic salary in the range £45,000 - £60,000 dependent on experience.
  • Generous bonus structure providing realistic on target of £100,000

The role:

  • To full responsibility for public sector business development for the business.
  • To successfully manage a number of existing public sector accounts by ensuring all hiring managers receive recruitment & other product support of a high standard and in a timely manner.
  • To source, target and win new public sector accounts.
  • To sell the company's sophisticated portfolio of products and services including Recruitment (Contingency / RPO / Interim / Permanent Solutions), Learning and Development / Training accreditation, vetting services, recruitment advertising, outplacement etc…
  • Identifying opportunities to cross-sell / cross-pollinate.
  • Internal Stakeholder management - Working with the Delivery Teams, Recruitment Managers, Account Managers and Training Team.
  • To respond to tenders, Requests For Proposals (RFPs) and other requests for information in a timely and organised manner, contributing to the continued development of the bid process toolkit.
  • To attend meetings with prospects and established client nominated staff as required.
  • To work closely with the recruitment delivery team to ensure that each client's account manager is kept up-to-speed with all relevant details so that all clients receive a top quality professional staffing, training and media service.

Knowledge & Skills required

  • A minimum of 5 years recruitment sector experience.
  • Previous experience as a Business Development Manager, Client Relationship Manager, Account Manager or Senior Recruitment Consultant / Manager within a Recruitment Agency.
  • Credible public sector recruitment knowledge including RPO / outsourcing of services / public sector recruitment frameworks.
  • Understanding of the public sector sales cycle.
  • The ability to navigate the frameworks and compliance associated with supply of staffing services to the public sector.
  • Experience of complex contract and fee negotiation.
  • A consultative approach to business development.
  • Excellent client-facing skills.
  • Able to demonstrate success in maintaining and growing revenue within recruitment accounts.
