Business Development Manager - Industrial Recruitment - Northern Quarter / Ancoats - Manchester

The company is an expanding, £12M North West recruitment agency providing volume temporary recruitment into industrial, transport and construction sectors. As a result of continued growth year-on-year, the business is hiring. An exciting opportunity exists for a Business Development Manager in Manchester.

The Package

  • Basic salary in the range £22,000 to £30,000 depending on experience level.
  • 4% commission on all margin generated from your new business

The Role:

  • New Business Development role selling Temporary Recruitment / Staffing into a range of Manchester / North West businesses.
  • Providing staffing solutions in the following sectors - Industrial, Driving, Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) and Trades and Labour.
  • Working with the recruitment consultants to develop "spot business" into regular customers.
  • Formalising relationships with clients via Service Level Agreements, Preferred Supplier arrangement etc…
  • Visiting clients, keeping in contact and building relationships.
  • Taking bookings and passing them back to the Recruitment Consultants / Resourcers in the office, overseeing the roles are filled.
  • Acting as a bridge between the clients (externally) and the recruitment consultants (internally)
  • Ensuring compliance
  • Working as part of the management team, working closely with Sales Manager, Account Managers, Recruitment Consultants and Resource Team
  • Hours: 8am - 5.30pm (Monday - Friday) - Flexibility where available.

Knowledge & Skills required

  • You must have experience of working in a recruitment business, either as a recruitment consultant or business development consultant / manager.
  • The role would suit either an existing Business Development Manager or an Account Manager or a Recruitment Consultant who enjoys meeting clients and is looking to focus on new business development.
  • Temporary / Temps recruitment consultant experience - ideally in a relevant market e.g. driving / HGV / transport, industrial, trades and labour, M&E etc…
  • Must have drivers licence
