Business Development Executive - Apprenticeships & Training - Stockport - £23,000 - £30,000 + bonuses (OTE £30-£35K+) - busy and autonomous Business Development role providing training and apprenticeships into a variety of public sector and commercial companies in Manchester and the North West.

The company is one of the country's leading training organisations which has provided thousands of young people with qualifications, training and apprenticeships for over 20 years. Working with a range of public sector organisations, corporate commercial companies and smaller businesses they provide training, qualifications and placement of apprentices into a range of apprenticeships such as legal, business support, customer service, medical administration and accountancy.

An exciting new opportunity now exists for a Business Development Executive to join the team in Stockport Town Centre.

Salary / Benefits:

  • Starting salary in the range £23,000 to £30,000
  • Bonus scheme providing on target earnings of £30,000 - £35,000+

The role

  • Selling the benefits of apprenticeships to businesses and public sector organisations in Manchester and the North West and helping employers plan and manage their apprenticeship programmes.
  • Relationship management of existing accounts along with bringing on new customers.
  • Managing the recruitment of apprentices by your employers and then account managing your customers on an ongoing basis.
  • You will be supported by a team of Recruitment Advisers who source the apprenticeship candidates. You're role is to engage the client companies and public sector organisations (existing accounts and new clients).
  • This is a rewarding role and you will see the apprentices that get placed grow in confidence and progress in their jobs and their studies.
  • Working hours 9am to 5pm (2-3 days in the office and 2-3 days meeting clients) - autonomous / self-managing role.

About you:

  • Previous sales / business development experience OR experience of managing and developing long term relationships within a client group (external or internal).
  • An understanding of the issues organisations face when hiring staff.
  • Previous experience of apprenticeships is not required - full training will be provided.
  • Must have own car and drivers licence (you will be reimbursed expenses).
  • The backgrounds of other Business Development Executives on the team include Recruitment Consultant, Human Reources Officer, Internal Recruiter, Education / Training Provider Sales, Call Centre Manager, Field Sales and Account Manager.
